Cool MacWorld Find!
By practical gadget guy
January 14, 2009
Just got back from MacWorld. While not actually earbuds stuff (though there were some nice inexpensive ones available).
But what caught my attention was this thing from nekfit. Instead of the armband, it goes on the shoulders behind the neck. What's great about it, is that this nekfit stores the earbuds wires there. Pretty cool idea. Tried it on. It stays on. It caught my attention because it won Best of Show. Not too technical - but practical. It definitely will save my eardbuds from ripping out of ears or mangling the wires
And wouldn't you know it, you can actually change your music. Wore it home - it let me be hands free. Great for working out or I bet anywhere you need your hands.
Excellent Product!

Love the product, very comfy, holds the nano securely, and best of all, the cord is stowed out of my way. I contacted technical support with a question on the different band sizes, I got a speedy and thorough response.
Great for yardwork!

They really thought about getting both the wires and iPod out of the way when you work. I carry my G3 nano that I got on my birthday for doing my lawn and other yard work. No more wire hang-ups and it works great! Had to spend a little time adjusting the fit but now it's fine. I use an iSkin cover to keep dirt and sweat off while I work and I can still change the music pretty easily. Great idea.
Wish I had thought of this!

This thing is amazing! I wore my nekFIT to the club and 6 people stopped me and asked where I got it.
An extremely clever design! So darn simple too. It really does disappear in minutes. No wires--just music!
Solves my main complaint....

I find the cord from my ipod annoying when running and this little holder fixes the issue. However, once it's on and going it would be a hassle to change things without stopping and taking it all off. Just make sure you have the right volume and a decent playlist before you start and you'll be fine.
Great product not just for IPODS

This product is amazing. I use it for my Sony Ericsson w580. It is a slightly tight fit but definitely worth it. I would recommend this product to anyone with an ipod or any thin phone.

I ordered 2 nekfits, a Black one for me and a clear for my wife. And sure enough, it works just as advertised from what I see as I have only worn mine once. I showed it to a friend that thought "this can't be comfortable or stay on for my style of working out." She cam to me the next day and said, "Wow, I'm keeping it, thanks!" My wife came back from a recent trip to visit friends without her's as well. Same story. I've order 2 more and this time they are staying on MY next. Buy your own!
The one cool thing that my friend, that stole my NekFIT, told me out about the strap, is that it has these raised lines that work as guides for your fingers to find the forward, back, and stop controls on the NekFIT. I thought they were just re-inforced areas. Turns out they have a reason. Pretty cool product.
I love my NekFIT!

I have the black one, I got it before the clear came out. I love it. Within 2 minutes of wearing it, you don't even notice it on your neck. It is so comfortable and light. I don't pick songs, I just forward to the next song when I get bored and that is super easy to do with the NekFIT. It is perfect for walking, biking, and my friend has even used it for yoga. It is also great for listening while working on the computer.
Great for Running

I've been using it when I run at the gym and have installed the "medium" clip I've also switched to the Sony headphones instead of the standard Apple ones as they tend to slip.
I had a little trouble at first lining up the rubber strap over the wheel, but once I got it right it works fine. I don't know if the cord on my headphones are unusually long (don't think so) but not all of the cord seems to be able to fit in the hooks so I needed to wrap it around the back of the clip several times.
Its great for running, don't even notice it, pretty easy to change the volume. Don't really skip songs much.
Fantastic!

Great for working out, chores, walking... whenever you don't want to carry your ipod in your hand or pocket.
It required a bit of strength to pull the arms off to change the neck size piece.
The instructions could be written a little clearer but with a few tries you should get it.
I wasn't able to keep my protective case on (Belkin, hard style case with clear cover over screen & touch wheel). It was either too lose or I couldn't get the strap to stretch far enough. One of those silicone sleeves *should* be okay as they are thinner.
Wish I had thought of this!

This product really works. Ever since I got it, I have been using it when I jog. Stay put and does fall off. Also, found I can use it around the house doing yard work. It really is hands free. Once I figured it out, changing music is a snap. With the different sizes included, my wife is also using it. It is definitely on my holiday gift list for my iPod family.
Suprised!

I gotta admit it does look funky. I was skeptical when I bought it. If anyone remembers the Steve Martin movie "The Jerk" you will get a laugh out of that. Being a runner I have tried many solutions, clips, arm bands, pockets, etc. I have not been happy with any of them. This device I'm happy to say works. Leaves your arms free, no wires in your way. I thought you would feel a bounce but you don't. When you first put it on, you do feel it's prescence on you, but that quickly goes away. I recommend it.
